Starter Calculation Percentages, Decimal, Fraction of an amount
This is a classroom starter activity for quick practice of finding percentages, fraction or decimals of a fixed amount.
It can be useful in allowing the teacher to identify common misconceptions. It also helps students to recognize equivalent values such that 50% is the same as 0.5 or ½. Plus develop strategies to convert fractions to decimals such as knowing 1⁄5 is equivalent to 2⁄10 or 0.2
