How it teaches

— Circle Theorems and Straight-Line Graphs ✨
The biggest addition yet: the complete set of eight circle theorems, plus straight-line graphs and two more.
The eight circle theorems
Each one works the same way. Drag the points and watch the rule hold, then press the dice for a problem: a value is replaced by x — two, x and y, in the cyclic quadrilateral — and the rest are given. Work it out, then tap the letter on the diagram — or the matching reveal — to check. Hovering a reveal lights up the angle it names, so the notation explains itself.
Everything snaps so the answers are whole numbers and the relationships are exact rather than approximate.
- Angle at the Centre — The angle at the centre is twice the angle at the circumference
- Angle in a Semicircle — The angle standing on a diameter is always a right angle
- Angles in the Same Segment — Angles standing on the same arc are equal
- Cyclic Quadrilateral — Opposite angles add to 180°
- Tangent and Radius — A tangent meets the radius at 90°
- Two Tangents from a Point — The two tangents from an external point are equal in length
- Alternate Segment — The tangent–chord angle equals the angle in the alternate segment
- Perpendicular to a Chord — The perpendicular from the centre bisects the chord
Straight-line graphs
- Equation of a Straight Line — Explore y = mx + c by changing the gradient and intercept
- Equation of a Line Through Two Points — Find the equation from two plotted points
- Midpoint of a Line Segment — Find the midpoint, or work backwards to a missing endpoint

New Mathematical Demonstrations
Area Demonstrations
Our new suite of area demos is designed to build a strong visual understanding of how area formulas are derived. They all start with the foundational Area of a Rectangle. The other demos, for the Parallelogram, Trapezium, and Triangle, use interactive animations to transform those shapes. You'll see how a parallelogram or trapezium can be rearranged into a rectangle with the same area, and how a triangle is exactly half of a rectangle, visually proving their formulas.

Updated Angles Demonstrations
The original basic angles activity has been replaced by two new, more focused demonstrations. The Measure Angles demo is for practicing estimation, classification (acute, obtuse), and manual measurement with a protractor. The Angle Rules demo focuses on calculating unknown angles by applying geometric rules, such as angles on a straight line (180°) or at a point (360°).
